How the estimate works
Item volumes are approximate cubic feet. We add 15% loading allowance and assume 1,400 usable cubic feet per 26-foot truck; actual payload limits and item dimensions may require more trucks. Crew guidance uses inventory size. Time assumes 75 cubic feet per mover-hour for both loading and unloading combined, plus driving, setup, furniture assembly, access, and selected box packing. The range allows 20–30% variation. This is a planning model, not measured job performance.
For one-truck local moves: 2 movers $395 / first 2 hours + $159 per additional hour; 3 movers $495 + $189/hour; 4 movers $695 + $249/hour. Labor only: 2 movers $295 + $115/hour. A 2-hour minimum applies. Packing materials, specialty services, and multi-truck pricing need a written quote. Access changes estimated time, not a separate access fee.
