Important: PCS Moves and Government Reimbursement
Haul Bros provides private moving services. Booking privately does not mean your move is arranged or approved by the government. For a Personally Procured Move (PPM, formerly DITY), obtain approval from your transportation office before making moving arrangements. Confirm your service branch’s documentation requirements, including any certified empty and loaded weight tickets, receipts, and forms. Ask us before booking which documents we can provide and have those arrangements confirmed in writing. Your transportation office determines eligibility and reimbursement.
Military Discount
Eligible military members and military families may receive a 5% discount on qualifying services. Valid military identification may be requested.
Planning Your Military Move
Provide your moving window, pickup and delivery addresses, number of bedrooms, stairs and elevators, parking and base access instructions, large items, packing requirements, and storage needs as early as possible — PCS timelines are often tighter than a typical civilian move, so early planning matters more here.

Do you handle official PCS moves through TMO or TSP?
This page offers privately booked moving services. For a government-arranged PCS shipment, contact your installation’s transportation office to arrange an assigned provider. A private booking with Haul Bros does not establish government approval, a government contract, or reimbursement eligibility.
Can you help with a PPM (DITY) move for reimbursement?
We can discuss privately arranged moving help for a PPM. Obtain transportation-office approval before making arrangements, confirm the required weight tickets and receipts, and ask us to confirm in writing which documentation we can provide. Reimbursement eligibility and payment are determined by your military service.
Do you move to or from Fort Belvoir, Quantico, or the Pentagon?
Contact us with your exact pickup and delivery addresses near or on Fort Belvoir, Quantico, or the Pentagon so we can confirm service availability and access. Installation names are geographic reference points, not a guarantee of authorized base entry or prior service at those locations.
Can your truck get onto a military installation?
Entry is subject to the installation’s current visitor and commercial-vehicle rules. Confirm crew identification, vehicle requirements, sponsor or escort arrangements, and any advance authorization directly with the installation before moving day. We can review those requirements when planning an eligible move.
Do you offer a discount for military families?
Yes. Eligible military members and families may receive a 5% discount on qualifying services — valid military ID may be requested.
Can my spouse handle the move if I'm deployed or unavailable?
Yes. A spouse or another designated adult can coordinate and be present for the move — just make sure whoever is on-site has the authority to make decisions about the move and access.
How soon before my report date should I book a military move?
As early as your orders allow. PCS timelines are often less flexible than a civilian move, and summer PCS season (May–August) is the busiest time of year for movers across the DMV — booking 4–6 weeks ahead, or as soon as you have orders, is strongly recommended.
Do you offer storage if my next duty station housing isn't ready?
Yes. Storage solutions can bridge the gap between move-out and move-in when housing timing doesn't line up with your report date.
Is a local military move priced differently than a civilian move?
No — local moves are priced the same hourly way for everyone, with the military discount applied on top for eligible customers.
Can you help with a small move, like just clearing out a barracks room or storage unit?
Yes. Small moves covering a single room, storage unit, or partial household are available — describe what you're moving so we can plan the right crew size.
